Student Shop

In addition to the main shop facilities, the department maintains a well-equipped student shop where students can receive instruction in the use of machine shop equipment. Many students find that the ability to modify and/or construct their own mechanical systems is a significant asset. The student shop is located in a room adjacent to the main shop, and has the following equipment available:

• Bridgeport J-head Milling Machines (two)
• Monarch 10EE Lathe
• South Bend Standard Lathe
• Drill Presses, Grinders, Band Saw
• Precision Machinist and Hand Tools
